Department of Conflict, Peace and Development Studies, Tribhuvan University had the honor of hosting Professor Oliver Richmond for a guest lecture entitled “Innovation in Peacemaking”. Professor Richmond, globally recognized and highly cited expert in International Relations and peace studies, shared valuable insights and cutting-edge approaches to fostering peace in today’s complex and uncertain world. He highlighted the concept ‘Peace comes before the war’ and suggested alternative pathways to peacemaking through innovative strategies beyond traditional diplomatic negotiations and balance of powerless. Also, he emphasized the importance of creativity and adaptability in peacemaking efforts from local to national to global levels.
